Initial deployments of CloudArray going well

Monday, September 14th, 2009

After we extended invitations for a software private beta to several companies, we had an initial wave of interest followed by product installs that spanned North America. The types of companies participating in the program run the gamut; from managed service providers, vertically focused VARs, manufacturers, educational institutions, government agencies and so on. This level of activity shows promise of things to come. It could be a telltale that a change in IT processes and infrastructure is imminent and could very well usher in a new era for compute infrastructures that augment today’s staid IT environments. Too early to tell, but when we read between the lines during our conversations with end users about Cloud storage and follow their actions related to Cloud compute plans, it’s certainly a step in the Cloud direction.

We are also finding a high degree of interest from companies located overseas. We started the engagement process to learn more about their use-cases and expect initial deployments of CloudArray shortly.

We are continuing with the beta program and are actively seeking additional companies to participate. Users will be able to test up to 1.0 TB of Cloud storage from a top tier service provider. Information on CloudArray and how to request an invitation to the private beta can be found at http://www.twinstrata.com/cloudarray_private_beta.html

Let us know if you are interested or know of a company that is exploring Cloud initiatives.
